All "LAMAR" custom steel guitars are hand crafted from high quality materials.Bodies are constructed from maple and other fine woods,(some at additional cost). They can be finished with your choice of color (natural wood,stain,or opaque color) and finished off with beautiful hand rubbed lacquer.
All aluminum parts are machined in my shop using 6061 and 2024 aluminum.
All pull changer with triple raise and lower
Keyless or key head tuning.
Cross rods are round with 2 milled flats on opposite sides for non-slip action.
Quick change bell cranks with 7 rod positions.
Rock solid pedal and knee lever stops
Extruded pedals mounted in nylon bearings.
Pedal rod connectors are spring loaded pin type.
Stainless steel pedal rods
Gauged nut rollers for buzz free playing on low end.
Single coil pick ups wound to your spec's. With coil tap,if desired. Other pick ups available upon request.

Straight pull changer
Pictured above is one of my straight pull changers mounted on a 7 string pedal steel with a "Dobro " tuning.
I designed this changer in 2005. The fingers move linearly for both raises and lowers. Since there is no flexing,string breakage at the changer is near non-existant. It produces a tone slightly brighter than my standard changer. It's also equipped with adjustable helper springs. This is an additional cost option and will add $200.00 per neck
